Privacy Policy

We collect information in a few different ways:

• Account information. When you sign up or log in (including with Google), we receive your name, email address, profile photo (if provided), and authentication identifiers.
• Event submissions. When you submit an event for approval, we collect the details you provide (event name, date, venue, description, ticket links, images, and similar info).
• Rewards & referral data. We track points you earn, events you share, your referral code, and verified referrals so we can run the leaderboard and prevent abuse.
• Usage & analytics. We collect aggregated data about how you use FeteMap — pages viewed, events tapped, filters used, search terms, and similar interactions.
• Device & browser info. IP address, device type, operating system, browser type, app version, language, and a device fingerprint used for fraud prevention.
• Location & map data. If you grant permission, we use your approximate location to show nearby fetes. You can disable this in your device settings at any time.
• Cookies & session data. We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and measure usage.

• Operate and improve FeteMap and the mobile apps.
• Authenticate you and keep your account secure.
• Display, moderate, and approve event submissions.
• Run the rewards system, leaderboard, and referral program.
• Send notifications you've opted into (email or push).
• Detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, and security issues.
• Comply with legal obligations.

We rely on a small number of trusted providers to operate FeteMap. Their use of your information is governed by their own privacy policies:

• Supabase — database, authentication, file storage, and backend infrastructure.
• Google — Sign-in with Google and related authentication services.
• Analytics providers — to understand aggregate usage (no sale of personal data).
• Ticketing partners and promoters — when you tap a ticket link you may be taken to a third-party site (e.g. a promoter, ticketing platform, or affiliate program). FeteMap is not responsible for what happens on those sites.
• Push notification providers — to deliver alerts if you opt in.

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with the service providers above, when required by law, to enforce our Terms of Service, or to protect the rights and safety of our users and the public.

We use industry-standard safeguards including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed credentials, role-based access controls, and row-level security on our database. No system is 100% secure, but we work hard to protect your information.

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to operate the service. You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time by contacting us.

• Access, update, or delete your account information.
• Disable location permission in your device settings.
• Opt out of email or push notifications.
• Depending on where you live (e.g. EU/UK/California), you may have additional rights such as data portability and the right to object to processing.

FeteMap is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

FeteMap is operated from the United States. By using the service you understand your information may be processed in the U.S. and other countries that may have different data protection laws than your country.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in-app or by email.
